A quick poll around some of the 'knowledgeable' locally and it would appear that there are no converters to go to the UK and that French cars are not so angled(?) to create a problem as UK cars do in France.
The DVLA site in the UK does not offer any information but I have asked the AA and the RAC for you to see if they come up with an answer.

We have actually used them in the past. We may have bought them on Speedferry or at Maidstone Services but we would feel happieer if we were able toget them before going to England.

If you know more or less where the converter should go, just use black (electricians ) tape. I am not aware that the various sold items (AA RAC etc) are approved to the extent that nothing else can be used.

Charles, I have finally had an answer from the AA who have advised which company sells the converters for LHD cars going to the UK. I have sent their customer dept. a mail asking if they have any distributors in the Burgundy region.
On Teejay's point of using masking tape, this used to be fine but the new style of headlights used by many cars now apparently makes this solutuion a bit redundant.
I will let you know once we get an answer if the converters can be found locally.
