We have organised a group for French Lessons.
We meet every week on a Wednesday at the Chateau Saint Vallerin between 10.00 am and mid-day.
The lessons include Grammar, Vocabulary and Conversational French. We even have homework!!!

For those in the Haute Cote d'or lower l'Yonne GRETA at Montbard run French class weekly, at present they are on a Monday afternoon for two hours.

In addition the the classes and workshops held by the Centre Social in Lormes for Dutch people to learn French, this year they are starting a new class for English people to learn French or brush up on their linquistic skills.
The lessons will take place in a convivial atmosphere with the help of a teacher and in the form of excercises and conversation.
TIME and Place-
LORMES, in the youth centre next to the salle des fetes
Mondays from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm
Starting Monday September 8th.
Price-
The cost for 12 lessons over a three month period will be euros 55.00.
In addition, there is a 9.00 euro contribution to the Centre Social

Dear Greta, I live with my partner in a little village near Chatillion sur Seine, would we be able to come to the lessons and if so what would the cost be ?

GRETA is part of the French Govt. initiative on adult education and can be found in many parts of France offering a series of training courses for adults. Language teaching is one of it's many remits.
For language resource, you might also try your local chamber of commerce who can advise on any local GRETA or indeed other initiartives that they themselves may have started.
There is also the EU sponsored program in all major urban areas of France under the IFPA auspices that provides language training for immigrants to get them to a suitable level to allow them to enter the job market.
