La Grand Cave de Pierre Laforest

One of our members works at La Grand Cave de Pierre Laforest in Vougeot and has kindly offered, to members, a guided visit of the cellars and a wine tasting; accompanied by an explanation of the wines of Burgundy and the basics of wine tasting.

Pierre Laforest is located in the old Chateau of Vougeot and in the 17th century remains of the cellars they have and exhibition of wine and winemaking of the region.

The tour and tasting is open to all subscribing members on production of their membership card and is available (by reservation only) on a Tuesday or Friday. To make a reservation please contact Tracy Thurling either by telephone or e-mail:

July Rendez-Vous

This month's rendez-Vous will be held on Saturday 26th July at Le Moulin, La Petite Verriere, starting from 10.30 with lunch at mid-day.

For the Luncheon, the Menu is:-

Smoked Trout and Salad

Main

Lamb Curry and Rice

Dessert

Fresh Fruit Cocktail

A Quarter of wine and coffee after luncheon is included in the price.

The price per person for the luncheon is Euros 17.50.
