 LATEST NEWS

On Sunday 5th of February 2012, eleven valiant members of Burgundy Friends left their fire-sides, thwarting the elements, to join together in Carolyn's gorgeous, warm, welcoming home, there to engage in much friendly and interesting conversation and to gain from the opportunity to catch up on the chat post Christmas.   OF COURSE, books were swapped too and, as is our custom, a deal of wine and a delicious tea were enjoyed by all.

Our grateful thanks go to Carolyn for her generous hospitality and warm friendship.

LADIES LUNCH

On Wednesday the 12th October, twelve lovely, lively, ladies lunched at L'Augusto Restaurant, Autun, 12.00 noon. The lunch was simple but pleasant. The upper echelons of the said restaurant are usually quiet and circumspect but NOT today - gales of laughter and happy chatter resounded all about and a super-duper time was had by all.

It was the Inaugural Meeting of this particular Burgundy Friends Group and so the format which might be followed was discussed. It was agreed that we should meet bi-monthly and that we should try out a variety of good and well recommended restaurants in and around the greater area. Also the odd day's outing might be considered at a later date. Sandra was given a list of 3 suggestions for January, when it was agreed that we would next meet. She will endeavour to see which of the establishments are open and will book accordingly, in the order of the given preferences - as we know January is not a good month, as many places close. She will have the details of date, time and place posted at a later date - "Watch this Space".

Needless to say other ladies from Burgundy Friends are more than welcome to join us if they are free and up for a giggle!"

STOP PRESS!!!! - Next lunch planned for Wednesday 29th February 2012 - something for your leap year diary!
